What is the desired you are aiming for?

Feeding individuals data that aligns with their pre-existing fears or desires.

The Mind Control Theatre relies on the audience remaining passive. By stepping out of the audience and analyzing the mechanics of the stage, individuals can reclaim their cognitive liberty. Mind Control Theatre

If we consider the "screen" a stage, TikTok and Instagram Reels are the largest Mind Control Theatre in history. The infinite scroll is a rhythmic entrainment device (the Beta-to-Alpha slide). The algorithm is the playwright, feeding you content that triggers micro-trauma, rage, or euphoria to keep you entrained. You are the audience and the actor, performing your own control.

Whether it's a mentalist on a Las Vegas stage or a sophisticated marketing campaign, Mind Control Theatre relies on our lack of awareness. Derren Brown, the British psychological illusionist, is the closest thing to a mainstream Mind Control Theatre practitioner. His show "Secret" (2022) involved a live audience member receiving a package, opening it, and following instructions they were convinced they wrote themselves. Brown uses a blend of hypnotic micro-suggestions planted hours before the show. Critics argue it is a con; Brown admits it is "applied psychology." Yet, his ability to make a CEO empty their bank account on stage fits the definition of MCT perfectly.

Perhaps the most literal application of "mind control" came from the food brand Marmite. In 2019, adam&eveDDB created a "Marmite Mind Control" campaign. They partnered with hypnotherapist Rory Fulcher to create a 15-minute video designed to convert "haters into lovers" of the divisive spread through subliminal messaging and deep trance induction. The campaign included "subliminal advertisements" hidden within other brands' TV commercials, literally planting suggestions in the brains of viewers without their consent. This is "Mind Control Theatre" in its purest commercial form: turning the living room into a stage for therapeutic marketing.
