GP Ethernet Printer Tool v5.0 is a lightweight Windows utility that sends raw print data directly to Ethernet‑connected printers using TCP/IP ports (typically 9100). Instead of relying on manufacturer drivers or Windows printer queues, it writes directly to the printer’s native command language (ESC/POS, ZPL, EPL, etc.). The result? Faster, more predictable printing – especially in retail, hospitality, and logistics environments.

The bridges this gap. It creates a virtual port (usually TCP/IP) that redirects Windows print jobs to a network printer using raw socket communication on port 9100 (or a custom port). Version 5.0 represents a significant leap forward in stability and user interface design.

It is primarily used to assign static IP addresses to printers so they can communicate over a local network with Point of Sale (POS) systems. Key Functions of the Tool

For now, v5.0 remains the gold standard.
