The "David Cohen Tai Chi Full" program is structured to guide students through a series of movements, each carefully designed to promote relaxation, inner peace, and physical health. Cohen's teaching emphasizes: He does not look like an unapproachable monk;

His tai chi journey started in 1991 in Greenville, North Carolina, with his first teacher, Sifu Jeffery Gay. After moving to Virginia in 2005, he continued his training. In 2013, he met his next teacher, Richard Clear. He studied with Mr. Clear for several years and also holds a teaching certification from Mark Rasmus to teach the "Science of Elastic Force," a concept related to generating power in tai chi.
